Caribbean Queen: Victoria & Darren
Victoria Rogers, 31, from Essex and Darren Pughsley, 31, from Cambridgeshire have been together for nine years, after meeting at university. Victoria says of the proposal "Darren was meant to propose (so he told me afterwards!) on New Years Eve in Sydney on a round the world trip we went on together. We had a bit too much to drink so he postponed and proposed six days later on Bamboo Island in Thailand; it was just us two on the island! I ran round the island shouting we’re engaged!"
"Our colour scheme was pinks greens and whites with seashell details. We both love the beach and fell in love with Barbados on a holiday there together. We had dinner at Mullins Beach Bar one night and I kept that night in my happy memories. As soon as we got engaged we new that was our ultimate destination but we didn’t think we could pull it off, in the end we went for it! On Valentines Day 2012 we got married on Mullins Beach, Barbados and had the reception at The Old Sugar House, Barbados."

The Brides Outfit
"My Dress was by Stewart Parvin. Reggie at The Bespoke Wardrobe added details to make it the dress I had been imagining. I teamed my dress with Terry De Havilland wedges for the beach and Jimmy Choo heels for the evening, I love shoes!"
The Entertainment
"Our planner suggested Country House Caterers and they were fantastic. As we had small numbers we were able to organise a menu with choice, our starters were scallops, beef carpaccio or a rocket salad; mains were beef tenderloin, tuna steak or mahi mahi and desserts were bread and butter pudding, chocolate ganache tart or fresh fruit kebabs. Our cake was a victoria sponge made by a local baker, decorated with shells, roses and orchids."
"Our friend Emma organised night lanterns as a surprise and everyone let them off as we made wishes in the early hours. It was magic!"
The First Dance
"Our friends, Katy Daly, Ems and Mick Bullen recorded ‘Promise Me’ for us to dance to. We just swayed away and our friend Dan didn’t realise it was the first dance and came up to chat and hug us!"
"The things I remember most about the day was when Darren took me on to the balcony at the villa to look at the party below; It was a brilliant moment. Speaking to my Dad before the ceremony (he couldn’t fly due to illness) and sharing a special conversation with him. Finding out my bridesmaid Polly and sister in law Nikki were in labour that day; both gave birth the next day to happy, healthy babies. My bridesmaid Lucy did an amazing reading and the best man Jonny gave a fantastic speech."
