Only You: Lindsay & Graham
Lindsay Peart, 30 and Graham Porter, 29 met 13 years ago in a pub during a night out, they were 17 and 16 respectively and have been together ever since. The couple decided it was about time they got married and officially became engaged on Christmas Eve 2011.
The couple married at Slaley Hall, Hexham, Northumberland. Lindsay says: "There was no set colour scheme or theme to our wedding, we decided to just pick the things we liked and hoped they didn’t clash too much!"
The Brides Outfit
Lindsay’s dress was Tabitha by Charlotte Balbier, which she bought from The Wedding Dress Company, Corbridge and was also where Lindsay bought her side tiara. Lindsay teamed the Charlotte Balbier dress with ‘Mimi’ shoes by Rachel Simpson.
The brides outfit was accessorised with earrings and brooch from Stephanie Brown. The bridesmaid and flower girl dresses were from Monsoon.
The wedding cake was 3 tiers, 1 chocolate, 1 vanilla and 1 lemon and was made by Pat Egen at the Ivory Cake Company. For the wedding breakfast the couple chose, Bruschetta with Buffalo Mozzarella and tomato with rocket pesto and fishcakes and tomato sauce for the children for starter.
The main was Rump of lamb, fondant potato, Savoy cabbage, redcurrant sauce, Mediterranean vegetable and mozzarella tart, red pesto dressing for the vegetarians and crispy chicken goujons, chips and BBQ dip for the children. Dessert was blueberry and pear frangipane with candied lime and ice cream for the children.
The First Dance
The couple chose Only You by Yazoo, as their first dance as husband and wife.
The couple spent 2 days in London, 3 days in Rome and 4 days in Florence for their honeymoon.
