1920’s Inspired Wedding Photoshoot
Inspired by the trend of themed weddings, Meg Hawkins, along with her team created this romantic 1920’s dreamscape wedding shoot. After researching the era, The Charleston inspired a new breed of young western women. Beginning the time of liberalism, 1920’s women embraced the latest fashions, including flapper style dresses, short skirts, bobbed hair and heavy makeup.
Envisioned in her mind, Meg had every detail clear in her mind. The shoot took place at Wroxeter Hotel, a fabulous venue full of art deco details and perfect for the theme of the day. Meg visualised the natural elegance of a stunning model wrapped in the modern age.

Meg discussed the details of the dress with Jodie Brook Perrins, designer at Scared Realms. The dress was to be flapper style, with unique vintage details and had to look sleek and elegant on camera. Jodie set to work and created the perfect dress, not only capturing the elegance of the twenties and but was also in keeping with current trends and fashions of the modern bride.
Make up artist Liz Bell was on set to make the beautiful model, Michelle, a stunning 1920’s bride. During the early twenties, it was a trend for woman to use cream or ivory coloured face powder and heavy hues on they eyes and lips. Liz ensured that Michelle’s make up was true to the era.

Meg loves portrait photography, she understands that everyone is different and tries to incorporate a different look for each client, giving them a truly unique set of images. Meg tells us "you can only truly appreciate the love of the detail when you capture the shot you envisage."
